Hotel pick-up and drive to Rifugio Sapienza (1,900 m) on the south side. From there the Etna Cable Car lifts you to 2,500 m across the lava deserts; if you wish, continue with the 3000 Tour: 4x4 bus and volcanological guide up to almost 3,000 metres, with the smoking summit ahead and views from Valle del Bove to the Ionian coast. On the way back, a stop at the Silvestri craters. Cable car and 3000 Tour tickets are the operator's official ones, with child reductions: buy them on site or let us book them for you. Your driver waits at the base — no timetable stress.
